The Term-minator

Although, we currently have the best congress money can buy it is past time to send a message to Washington saying that that those positions are not guaranteed. They can be replaced and they can be replaced regularly. Of course, no one wants to discuss term limits, but never again should there be a Congressperson that serves until they become centenarians or have 20, 30, 40 or even 50 year careers. These people are wealthy. If they care that much about our country, get off their duffs and get to work through their own organizations to make a difference. The President gets four years and another four if he can persuade the American people—that’s it. The limits a person can serve in Congress should be no longer than that of the President broken or not broken up into terms. Then it’s a resume filler for a real job! There are plenty of “public servant” jobs available at the state and local level and even there term limits should be enforced.

Terms limits now would be a good chant to hear with the current congress. People often fool themselves into thinking members of Congress actually are smarter, better and richer than them. Of that short list only the last has any truth in as, indeed they are richer. Just over half of Congress are millionaires. However, judging from the string of “misspeaks” that continually stream from Congressional lips, even they aren’t aware of their stupidity.

Euthanasia is a consideration. Cryogenics might be a thought. Suspended animation?
